is huge love
it requires an enormous amount
of integrity
and bare-to-the-bones honesty
to sustain it
profound love
is not love at first sight
it isn’t lightning bolt love
that is quick to strike
and can ignite fires
that may burn for great lengths of time
consuming the energy of itself
and when the fuel is spent
the fires burn themselves out
profound love
expands over one
like the slow awakening
of light and energy
long before the sun breaks over the horizon
and that huge energy
of the breaking day
is reflected
in a love that
warms
and nurtures
and enables growth
